2019 Prom
On April 13, Newton Senior High School hosted their annual prom. Many attended the dance in their most formal wear. This year the theme was Viva Las Vegas, and had many Vegas themed decorations including a small replica of the Eiffel Tower and tables with poker chips, playing cards and dice.
“I liked this year’s prom theme because it was different, and you could do a lot of different things with this theme,” sophomore Asha Regier said.
373 tickets were sold in advance and 12 were sold at the door. Even though prom is a senior and junior event, underclassmen could attend if they were invited by an upperclassman.
“I really didn’t know what to expect, I thought it was pretty cool that I was able to go. It was a lot of fun,” sophomore Ben Schmidt said.
