Traveling over the holidays can be a fun family tradition.Students share their favorite places to go over the holidays and what draws them there.
Junior Aubriana Willis says that her favorite place to go over the holidays is Disney World. She usually travels there with her close family, and they go there almost every year. Her favorite thing to do there is go on rides and hang out with her family. Although her family usually goes to Disney World over the holidays, last year they decided to go to Disney Land. Willis says that they went there to see a new park and have fun.
“My favorite place to go over the holidays is Disney World because it’s super fun and everyone there has such a good energy, and every holiday at Disney is different and exciting,” Willis said.
Junior Holly Goodnite says that her favorite place to go over the holidays is to Illinois. She travels there every year with her family for Christmas and for the Fourth of July. Going there over the holidays is a tradition that her family enjoys. While they are there for the Fourth of July, they enjoy going to a carnival, watching fireworks, and going to a parade. While they are there for Christmas, they enjoy playing in the snow and hanging out with their family.
“I love going there for Christmas because I grew up going there as a kid to visit my grandparents and cousins, and I get to hang out with some of my dad’s family that we don’t get to see a lot,” Goodnite said.
Junior Colbey Williams says that his favorite place to go over the holidays is Texas. Williams travels there every other year, and he goes there with his family. While they are there, they enjoy catching up with family. Although his family usually goes to Texas over the holidays, he also enjoys going to Colorado.
“I love going to Colorado during winter break because it is really cool,” Williams said.
Junior says that over the holidays, his family usually travels to Mexico. He travels there with his parents and his grandma, and it has been a tradition for them to go there over the holidays for the past ten years. They like to go there to visit their family. While they are there, they enjoy going to places around the town and going to a big waterpark. Although they usually go to Mexico over the holidays, Toribio says that he also enjoys going to California.
“Although we go to Mexico every year, sometimes we go to California, so that would definitely be my favorite,” Garcia Toribio said.
