When I travel, it feels like a breath of fresh air from the place I felt like I had been suffocating in. New people, new scenery, and even new smells. It is a time when you can let go of everything that separates you from seeing the world.
My favorite place I have ever been to is Colorado Springs, Colorado. From being in the valley to being on the top of Pikes Peak. What seems like the everlasting vastness of mountains stretching from the Sangre de Cristo Mountains to Pikes Peak to the Front Range keeps me in awe.
Now I have been in a variety of places, such as Orlando, Florida, home of Walt Disney World, the most magical place on earth, holding many famous characters that feel as though I am a seven-year-old little girl watching Moana for the first time, but the surreal part is that this time I am seeing her in person. I have been to Chicago, Illinois, also known as the Windy City, twice. When I first visited Chicago, it was crazy to see the towering skyscrapers and buildings ranging from office spaces to fashion studios. Walking down the street to see many rushing to work on foot, or students just like me attending a conference in a state many have never been to.
That is the incredible part about school. It is that even though you feel stuck in class every day, in the same routine, there are still opportunities that may come your way to be able to visit places you could have never dreamed of. You just have to look for them.
Small world, some say, but I think there is so much more to see than what meets the eye. Take every chance you get to see the world. You never know who you will meet, what you will learn, and what memories you will make.
