The Railer soccer team, hot off the heels of a 7-0 victory over Goddard earlier in the week, hosted a tough opponent on thursday evening in the Valley Center Hornets.

The Railers JV squad would pick up where they left off tuesday night. Freshman Gage Lettau would get his third goal in two nights for the Railers JV team thanks to an assist from freshman Michael Velasquez. Freshman Juan Porras would add a goal before the half and junior Milo Jones would add a nice header off a corner kick for the third goal. That would be the final score with another Railer shutout at home, this time 3-0.

The Railer boys battled heat all day, but it did not slow down their streak. Senior Jose Rojas would be an impact player on the night. He had an impressive hat trick just in the first half. Andy Deckert would add in a goal of his own in the first half. Freshman Santiago Fernandez would score the only goal of the second half, as the Railer varsity would shut out the Hornets, looking strong in their 5-0 victory.

The JV Soccer boys moved to 3-0-2 while the Varsity team moved to 5-3. Varsity and JV are back to work tuesday night in Haysville to take on the Campus Colts.
