The Railer girls continue their strong play at home with two wins over Salina South and Campus.

The varsity team had a back and forth contest in both sets before pulling away in both sets, winning sets 1 and 2, 25-14 and 25-12, respectively.

JV Volleyball was just as strong against the Cougars. They cruised to a 2 set victory, 25-7 and 25-15.

It was more of the same against the Campus Colts. Varsity Volleyball took both sets by double digits, 25-9 25-14. The JV squad took a tight first set from the Colts 25-20 but took the 2nd set 25-9 to finish off a perfect night for the Railers as they were firing on all cylinders.

“After our last two losses, we just kind of sat back and thought about the energy we were bringing and if we were really telling each other what we need to be doing on the court,” senior Kyndal Bacon said.

The next volleyball action is Thursday night as the freshmen girls compete in Goddard. After varsity competes in a tournament Saturday in Maize, varsity and JV will be back in action with triangle play against Maize and Salina South in Salina next Tuesday.
