This Halloween season, couples are coming together to show off their costumes this year. These student duos are stepping up to highlight and create the perfect couple’s attire.
Sophomore couple, Martha Cardiel Duran and Caden Herwig, planned to dress as characters from the hit TV show Curious George.
“We got the inspiration for The Man in the Yellow Hat and Curious George from our TikTok for you page,” Cardiel Duran said.
This decision process took time and consideration to construct. Cardiel Duran said she was the person who threw out the most ideas and conclusively made the final decision. Although they settled on the Curious George idea, they also considered other costumes.
“Martha thought about being a ladybug, and I was the farmer, [but] I personally wanted us to do cops and robbers,” Herwig said.
After some deliberation, the costume they decided on had the best vision and ultimately made both of them satisfied. Cardiel Duran said they wanted this costume to be unique and a big step up from the past years.
Senior couple Alyssa Killian and Niko Fernandez decided to do the iconic duo from Toy Story, Little Bo Peep and Woody.
“It was all my decision this year because I kept seeing it all over my For You page, and thought it was adorable,” Killian said.
Fernandez and Killian had this costume since the start of the school year, around August, and wanted to find a way to take it to the next level.
“My dog is also going to be an addition to our costume this year,” Killian said.
This couple turned their costume from a duo to a trio by incorporating and dressing Killian’s dog as one of Little Bo Peep’s sheep. Fernandez and Killian spent much of their time thinking about this year’s costume, which paid off in the end.
Adylynn Hein and Mason Alexander, a sophomore couple, planned to dress as a lifeguard and a shark.
“We knew our costume had to be really good this year,” Alexander said.
After time to consider and decide their costume for this year, Hein says she feels they had one of the best costumes.
“Halloween isn’t only for the candy but also for costumes,” Hein said.
