Winter Homecoming was Feb.7 it began with basketball games and during the varsity half time the coronation of the candidates. Winter homecoming candidates are nominated by the seniors and this year’s candidates were Chandlor Buffalo, Henry Claassen, Jada Smith, Kaine Seymour, Tony Lemus and Kelia Gillispie. 

“I was very happy to find out the senior class nominated me to be one of the three of them candidates” said senior Tony Lemus

The basketball games went against Hutch, the freshman boys lost. The arts department sold pig roast dinners as a fundraiser for the arts department. The coronation came around and the candidates Chandlor Buffalo and Henry Claassen won 2020 winter homecoming king and queen.

“I was really excited [getting nominated] and then I was more excited when I found it that it was with my friends during the day was excited but then everyone else was nervous so then I got nervous then I had to pee” said senior Jada Smith.
