On January 9th , spring sports teams began conditioning along with some of the winter sports teams. Baseball, Football and Sprinters participated in workouts on the track while basketball practiced indoor on the courts.

“Pre season conditioning is fun because the people that want to be there are participating the most which makes the practice more challenging,” sophomore Natalia Varpness said.

Varpness has ran track for three years and is coming up on her fourth, she participates in the 100 meter dash, 400 meter dash and 4×100 meter relay. The girls 4×100 relay qualified and placed at state in 2019, which she could not participate in due to an injury during regional’s.

“My injury was a huge set back for me but I’ve been training and recovering and I feel confident in myself that I can qualify for regional’s and state this season. I know Remsberg has a lot of hope and expectations for me which will help push me to the top,” Varpness said.

Baseball and Football also conditioned on the track with coach Jaxx. Both teams participated in short sprints and ladders and have open gym regularly in Willis gym. Nearing their last several games, boys and girl basketball teams worked to improve their skills during practice.

“The season has been a great learning experience for me over the past couple games and I think we are all excited for the games to come,” sophomore Hayley Loewen said.
