The Cross country team hosted the first and only home meet of there season on Sept. 29 at Centennial park.

“I think we as a team competed well,” sophomore Luke Schmidt said. “ I think we would have liked to finish a bit higher as a team but it was a good meet.”

They had five races C team, Jv girls, Jv boys, Varsity girls, and finally Varsity boys all having to run a new course because of work that had been done around Centennial park.

“There was a drainage ditch and some other features added to the park.” sophomore Kyle Stenzel said.

The runners competed and that paid off for some of them. WIth some of the runners placing high among the other rivaling runners.

“This is our third hardest meet, Rimrock being the hardest.” Schmidt said

Their next meet is Oct. 6 at 9 a.m. they will be racing at El Dorado state park.
