The varsity football team played Derby on September 14, at Fischer Field. The score at the end of the game was 55-7 with a loss for the Railers.

Despite the score throughout the game the student section kept their heads high to support the team, it was filled with creative ways to show their red, white, and blue for the American theme. “I wanted to be as out there as I could possibly make it. I try to show as much school spirit as possible,” senior John Wells said.

During halftime Little Cheer girls performed with the cheer team. The little cheerleaders had to work very hard on their performance because they only had one practice. “I am very passionate about cheer and I love it so I want little girls to understand the passion about being able to cheer,” sophomore Kayden Avants said.
