Whether you play in the snow or not, sometimes having a snow day is nice. You can play outside sledding and make snow angels or stay inside making hot chocolate and watching movies. Many students had a fun time over this winter break, which extended into snow days. These students shared their fun memories and times during these Snow Days.
Senior Kennedy Seidlenjoys having snow days. She explains how on a snow day she sleeps in until around 10 am, and the first thing she does is look at her phone and make her bed.
Seidl said, “A normal snow day for me usually means sleeping in till about 10 am. Then I will get up and get ready for the day, but usually stay inside. Usually, on snow days I will just catch up on any school work, and stay warm inside.”
Seidl does enjoy the snow and the view of it, but not the ice part.
Seidl said, “I think the snow can look very pretty, and when everything looks white it’s a lot prettier than the dying nature from the cold.”
Most of her time is spent busy and doing things to get off her to-do list. She doesn’t have a lof of free time when she is able to relax and get things done.
Seidl said, “I do not get too bored during these days because by the time I wake up, and get school done I do not have too much more time left.”
Seidl does like snow days however, when the black and gold days get mixed up she does not like how it messes up the schedule.
Seidl said, “I like when school gets canceled if we miss a black day and a gold day, I do not like when they get mixed up.”
Freshman Abby Yoder loves her snow days as she enjoys her free time and being able to do whatever she wants on her own time. Usually, when it snows she likes to sleep in until around 10 or 11, she checks out the window to see how much snow we have. The majority of her days consist of watching TV or talking to her friends on the phone.
Yoder said, “I sleep in until around 10:30 a.m. but if I stay up late the night before sometimes 11 a.m..”
When it snows she likes to go sledding with her family and ice skate. Her favorite thing about snow days is that she can do nothing and lounge around the house. Sometimes though, Abby finds herself bored.
Yoder said, “If I get bored sometimes I’ll find a new show on Netflix or play Roblox.”
In hopes of school getting canceled when it snows sometimes Yoder puts a spoon under her pillow to manifest the canceling.
Yoder said, “I love snow days because I am able to relax and have fun with my friends while enjoying the winter season.”
Junior Daniel Hernandez, enjoys his snow days and how the snow looks. When it snows he doesn’t do much and usually stays inside because it is too cold outside.
Hernandez said, “On snow days I like to drink hot chocolate and watch movies.”
He doesn’t do much on snow days except chill around and relax, he hopes that school gets canceled when it snows. He doesn’t like to go outside or play in the snow neither do his siblings, so they stay inside warm. When he gets bored he usually will take a nap.
Hernandez said, “If I get bored I just take a nap as the time passes.”
