The auto shop got a new set of wheels this week. On Tuesday, Dec.10, Rusty Eck Ford donated a Ford Edge to the Career and Technical Education automotive program at Newton High School. Rusty Eck Ford donated the car, which was recently damaged by hail, to allow students to work on the car as they learn skills in the auto shop.
The car typically would have been scrapped, but Kyle Eck, CEO of Rusty Eck Ford, said they decided to donate the car to help kids learn and grow. The auto shop teacher, Bob Zeigler, said that this donation will help the kids get experience with new technology, communications, and electronics.
