The Railers girls tennis team took first place at the Salina South Varsity Tournament on Thursday. Doubles Team Lily Scholonoger and Kaia Bach placed third in the semi-finals. Placing in the finals, doubles team Sadie Houser and Ashley McMullin took second in the tournament.
Singles player Marisa Musser placed fourth in the singles bracket of the tournament playing against multiple state qualifiers and very competitive schools and teams around the state. The tennis team took home the gold by finishing the tournament with an impressive 48 points, closely followed by Junction City with 45 points and third place Maize with a total point score of 43.
