Graduation is right around the corner for the class of 2024. These seniors have put a lot of effort and time into their senior year to meet any last-minute requirements and prepare for college. Because it’s graduation some seniors are throwing a graduation party and some of these parties are crazy.
Senior McKinley Mueller is throwing a huge party for her graduation alongside Annika Yoder. She invited around 100 people and hoped to see them all attend. Annika and McKinley’s party is on Friday, May 17th, 2024 for 3 hours at her house. Her party will have many activities including swimming, cornhole, 8 ball pool, darts, and a dance floor.
“I’m excited to have a variety of activities for my guests,” Mueller said.
Many people, who are greatly appreciated, helped plan this party including McKinley, Annika, and their parents. She will also have an assortment of food and snacks at her party.
“At my graduation party, I will be having a lot of snacks including pulled pork and Chick-fil-A chicken nuggets, and for the sides fruits, vegetables, chips with dip, and fun desserts, Mueller said.”
These fun desserts include a snow-cone machine, a coffee bar, and a lot of candy. She will also have a variety of drinks including lemonade, water, and more.
“Honestly we have enough food for up to 200 people,” Mueller said.
She is most excited to see people like her family and those she does not talk to often.
“I’m also really excited that I’m sharing my party with Annika because that’s a lot of fun and I like spending time with her,” Mueller said.
The activity at this graduation party that she is most excited about is darts, she enjoys playing darts and is also excited about the 8-ball pool. She hopes to collect a variety of pictures at this party with her guests and also have a book where people can sign or write what they choose.
“My advice for upcoming seniors would be to keep up on all your classes, don’t fail, and make the most of the year because it’s a really fun year if you let it be,” Mueller said.
Senior Elena Vanderweg had her graduation party on May 11, 2024, from 3-7. This party was a lot of fun as she had many guests.
“I invited many people, but not everyone showed up. It was about 200 people, ” Vanderweg said. Vanderweg had snacks at her graduation party which included pulled pork sandwiches, Mac and cheese, cookies, and brownies. She also had some fun activities at this party, which many of the guests enjoyed including spike ball and a temporary tattoo station.
“You could also give my dog a treat if he was being a good boy,” Vanderweg said.
Vanderweg’s favorite activity that she had at her graduation party was the tattoo station. She spent a lot of time planning her party which her mom helped with. At her party, she had a lot of fun and she got many pictures with great friends and family, and many signed a paper.
“My advice for upcoming seniors is to be ready to spend a lot of money, so save up,” Vanderweg said.
