From the cosmos to our beings, according to West Texas A&M University, astrology suggests that astronomical patterns have an impact on a person’s way of acting, events and compatibility with others.
It is easy to confuse astrology with astronomy, however, astrology is the study of supposed influences the stars have on human interactions, whereas astronomy is the study of stars in itself. Despite the lack of evidence, there are still many people who believe that astrology is real.
“I think it’s really cool … In history we have always had astrology and zodiac signs,” junior Josh Manosh said. “Everyone has a full chart, it depends on the time, day and place that you were born.”
According to Britannica, astrology originated in ancient Mesopotamia and evidence of people studying astrology goes back as far as the third millennium BC. Astrologers use the configuration of stars and planets to predict changes, compatibility and overall destiny for zodiac signs.
“Whether you believe it or not, I like seeing two people and understanding how one person connects with the other, but it’s not that serious,” junior Alanna Garcia said.
