The JV boys basketball team hosted Dodge city in Willis Gym on Dec 4 winning 89 – 71. With most of the JV team only being able to play two quarters Dodge city was able to come back within the second half.

“We came out strong, before the half we were beating them 50 to 30 but the top 5 JV guys all played varsity so we got a big lead for the rest of the JV team,” Sophomore Jaxon Brackeen said.

With their first game of the year Tuesday night they prepared by, “listening to music doing our ball handling drills and listening to our coach tell us what to do,” Brackeen said.

The Newton Railers go to Goddard Eisenhower Dec 7 to face the tigers at 4:15.
