Seniors Amanda Dorrell, Jessica Floerke, Makaylie Valle and Sydney Fernandez support their team from the sideline.

Seniors celebrated Senior Night on Oct. 2 with wins against both Derby and Maize on home court.  The railers defeated both teams with a score of 26-24.

Senior Jessica Floerke acknowledged that the team was “fighting for balls” and worked well together as a team.

“We were kind of saving up our energy to play Maize. Derby was like our warm up to get ready and we’ve beat them before so we just wanted to get out there and kill it fast and get the job done.”

Floerke admits that these games were “bittersweet” because she had played with some teammates since they were eight years old and this would be her last time playing with them on home court.

“I’ll miss the most of just being with my team because before games we get hype and like do all this stuff to get ready and we come out here and hit the ball and there’s so much emotion into this.” Floerke said. “We’ve accomplished so much here so I’m really excited to see if we make it to state with my team.”

The railers will participate in a tournament Oct.5 in Derby.
