The gymnastics team competed at their first home meet of the season on Sept. 29 in Ravenscroft Gym. The all girl team competed on vault, bars, beam and floor taking fourth place out of the six teams that competed.

“I decided to do gymnastics because I really wanted to get out there and try to get in tune with my body because last year I was a manager and just seeing like all the girls have happiness from it, I decided to do it,” sophomore Enyisha Peterson said.

“At the home meet, I felt pretty nervous but not at the same time because I’ve done the beam routine a bunch and I practice it a lot at practices, but it turned out fine after I did it. My favorite part about gymnastics is probably the team. We’ve bonded a lot and the stuff that I feel whenever I’m at meets with my team is pretty good,” said freshman Rylie Pierce.
