Junior Stefanie Torres drinks punch after decorating her name tag.

On the first day of Spanish club, members held an election for President and Vice President for the club by writing the name of who they wanted to win on a piece of paper, and putting it in a box. All three candidates, Nicole Tran, Priscilla Araujo, and Cheyanne Suter gave short speeches explaining why they were running, and what they had planned for Spanish club this year. Nicole Tran was elected president, and Cheyanne Suter was elected vice president. While the votes were being counted, everyone was provided with a locker tag to decorate.

Sra. Loeffler provided cookies and tropical punch while students decorated their name tags that will be put on the students’ lockers.

“For spanish club this year we have president and vice president after one year of not having them. And Mrs. Ochoa and I are switching, she takes a month and I take a month so hopefully that will be less pressure on everyone,” Sra. Loeffler said.
