Juniors John Jantzen, Joshua Kennell, senior Seth Bontrager, and juniors Hanna Brown and Kayla Anderson recite the induction pledge.

National Honor Society hosted their annual new member induction ceremony on Wednesday September 19. The ceremony was held in the auditorium from 7-8 p.m. and followed by refreshments of punch and cookies. National Honor Society is a respected organization of select students. Membership is granted to junior and senior students selected by a faculty council. Selection is based upon four criteria: scholarship, leadership, service and character. Not only does this club benefit students with scholarships and applications, it also helps them step outside their comfort zone. “I think [National Honor Society] benefits me in my life because it broadens our horizons on how we can reach the community and people in the community…I get to meet a lot of new people and do a lot of outreach to people I wouldn’t necessarily do on a day to day basis,” senior Jaeden Cochran said.
