At the end of the dual the team comes together for a huddle. Newton fell short to Derby that night with the score just 31-38. “I knew it was going to be tough coming in, Derby’s ranked #1 in class 6A. We were able to shift our weights around to give us an advantage to keep it close. We almost had it there in the end,” coach Tommy Edgemon said.

The wrestling team hosted a home dual, falling to Derby 31-38 on January 18th at 6 pm in Ravenscroft Gym.
