The Railer volleyball team continues their strong play at home as both JV and varsity sweep Salina Central and Hutchinson.
Varsity kept up a good rally in both sets before defeating Salina Central 25-10 in the first set and 25-16 in the second.
Varsity wasn’t alone as the JV girls pulled away with a win against the Cougars as well. After a close first set, 25-21, the girls proved their strength in set two with a 25-10 victory.
The girls kept up their spirit as they showed more strong play against Hutchinson. Varsity took Hutchinson in set one, 25-17, as well as set two, 25-9, bringing their overall record up to 32-6. JV volleyball kept up the fight as they took two more tight sets, 25-19 and 25-21.
“I’m excited to see what we can succeed in the end of the season because we have a lot of chemistry and we just all get along well with each other,” junior Desiray Kernel said.
The volleyball will continue this Saturday as the freshman team competes in a tournament at Haysville. On Saturday, the JV squad is hosting a tournament. After Saturday, the volleyball action with continue as varsity and JV take on a tri at Andover next Tuesday.
