The boys swim team hosted their first meet of the season on Dec. 5. In the invitational, the Railers took third place overall. The team started the season with a good amount of newcomers both of which are inexperienced and experienced.

“I think most of us did pretty good for our first meet, doing the 200 IM was my favorite,” freshman Xander Mitchell said.

Some new members of the swim team joined the team under the influence of their friends, while others joined to become stronger swimmers and to stay fit.

“I joined the swim team because my friends invited me to join and I was like okay sure. I would like to stay in shape and improve my strokes throughout the season,” sophomore Kole Edgell said.
