On Valentine’s Day, some choose flowers or candy for their sweethearts, but this year sophomore Lauren Thompson received a special surprise. Thompson received in musical valentine performed by the Hesston High School choir.

Thompson was called to the office by Mrs. Moore but was instead greeted by the choir.

“When I got to the front I saw them standing there and thought someone else had gotten a singing valentine until they said ‘Lauren Thompson, this is from Zach Carter’” Thompson said.

Thompson was happy to receive the unexpected valentine.

“It sounded so beautiful and they sang one of my favorite songs by Michael Bublé!” Thompson said.
