Football players watch from the sideline during second overtime.

The varsity football team traveled to Campus on Sept. 13 for their away game of the season. After ending the fourth quarter with a tie 21-21, the game goes into a double overtime. The final score of the game was 27-24

Senior Kolyn Sauceda believes the team moral contributed to their success in overtime.

“It was totally different energy than against Buhler. I think towards the end of the game we had our heads down. Going into overtime against campus, we were very energetic,” Sauceda said.

Junior Benjamin Schmidt threw 190 yards with two touchdowns, two interceptions, and had one rushing touchdown.

“[After winning], it felt really good. I think we were all a team. We all had something to do with that win, so it was pretty relieving for the whole team,” Schmidt said.
