The volleyball team kicked of Fall Fest with their first scrimmage of the season on Aug. 30, 2019. Varsity, Junior Varsity and freshman teams competed against each other during the matches. Newton’s fresh batch of volleyball players added an exciting arrangement to Fall Fests activities.

While many freshmen, sophomore and junior students participate on the volleyball team only one senior, Victoria Renner, will lead the team this season.

“It’s pretty stressful being the only senior, seniors usually come up with the ideas and locations so it’s difficult being the only one there to do all that,”  Renner said.

Varsity started with two freshman Olivia Antonowich and Tegan Livesay on the court.

“Starting on varsity has been fun, very challenging; I think our scrimmage went pretty well and I think we just need to start coming together as a team,”  Livesay said.
