Boys Varsity Soccer played McPherson on Aug. 31 at Fischer Field. The Railers finished with a loss of 1-4. 

“I think the team did alright, we could’ve done better. Of course the first goal was unlucky and we all got our heads down but we could’ve picked ourselves back up and we came for a comeback but we didn’t make it,” Junior Carsen Ebert said. 

This was their first game of the season and even though they lost, they showed a valuable and immense amount of effort on the field. 

“I feel like our effort was great, but our heads weren’t in the right place near the last 20 minutes of the game. We played well as a team, but we kind of lost motivation again at that last 20 minutes of the game so it’s kinda unfortunate,” Ebert said.
